25+ YEARS EXPERIENCE

I am a tai chi practitioner with over 25 years of experience. I was a student of Grandmaster Ren Guang Yi for about 20 years. My teacher’s teacher, Grandmaster Chen Xiaowang, is the 19th generation lineage holder of Chen style tai chi ch’uan.

My extensive studies include various Chen style hand forms, such as the 19 and 38 stance forms, Lao Jia Yi Lu, Lao Jia Er Lu, Xin Jia Yi Lu, as well as compact forms created by Grandmaster Ren (the 21 stance form and the Compact Canon Fist Form). I have also studied Tuishou (push hands) and weapon forms such as Straight Sword, Chinese Broad Sword, Spear, and Halberd.

In 2017 I was featured with James Sherry in one of four documentaries, Four Seas, directed by You Jun of CCTV (Central Chinese Television), which was broadcast on national television in mainland China.

I currently teach classes in Verplanck, Peekskill and in Cortland and give private lessons in Northern Westchester and Putnam Valley.
